Ducks Set For First Road Tilt

EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon women's basketball team hits the road for the first time this season, as the Ducks visit a familiar foe in Washington State on Wednesday at 4 p.m. PT at Beasley Coliseum.
Oregon enters the game 4-0 while WSU seeks its first win of the new season, having lost four straight games to open 2025-26.
The Ducks are 72-22 all-time against WSU, marking Oregon's most victories against a single opponent in program history. The former conference rivals have met every season since the 1975-76 season, with UO going 33-11 in Pullman.

SCOUTING WASHINGTON STATE
Washington State seeks its first win of the 2025-26 season following a 54-46 loss to Stanford at home on Nov. 14. The Cougars are 0-2 at home and 0-2 on the road to begin the new season.
Against the Cardinal, Malia Ruud scored a game-high 11 points while Elonora Villa also finished in double figures with 10. WSU shot 30 percent from the field and just 25 percent from the 3-point line. Defensively, the Cougars held Stanford to 2-for-18 shooting from range.
Villa is the team's leading scorer at 18.5 a game, leading WSU in scoring in three of her team's first four games. Villa is shooting at a 52.6 percent clip and 31.3 percent from downtown. Charlotte Abraham leads her side with 6.5 rebounds a game to go with 9.5 points.
Villa was one of 10 players voted to the 2025-26 West Coast Conference preseason team, with the Cougs being picked to finish in third in the WCC's preseason coaches poll.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Dating all the way back to 1974, Oregon leads the all-time series with Washington State, 72-22. The 72 wins mark the most against a single opponent in UO history. The Ducks snapped a three-game skid to the Cougars with an 85-70 win at Matthew Knight Arena, getting 22 points on 11-of-15 shooting from Amina Muhammad. The Ducks owned a 50-32 edge in points in the paint and the bench scored 25 points in the win.
Oregon is 33-11 against the Cougars in Pullman, but have dropped the last two road games in the series but had won the previous six road meetings, going back to head coach Kelly Graves' first season in 2014-15. Graves is 11-6 against WSU in his UO coaching career, going 6-2 on the road.
OFF AND RUNNING
The Oregon women's basketball team is off to a 4-0 start for fourth time over the last five seasons, and the eighth time under 12th-year head coach Kelly Graves after an 80-55 home victory over Army on Sunday. The Ducks have scored at least 80 points in all four games to start the season for the first time since the 2020-21 season, ranking 17th in the nation at 88.5 points per game.
In three of its four wins, five players have scored in double figures, including five in Sunday's win over the Black Knights: Mia Jacobs (17), Sofia Bell (14), Amina Muhamad (14), Katie Fiso (12) and Sarah Rambus (12). Nine different Ducks have finished a game with 10 or more points this season, with three coming off the bench (Avary Cain, Ehis Etute, Muhammad).
Oregon got the 2025-26 season started with an emphatic 100-59 victory over West Georgia on Nov. 3, and followed that up with a 90-47 win over Montana on Nov. 8. The 100-point scoring outburst marked the 66th time under Graves that the Ducks reached the 100-point mark, and the first time since the 2022-23 season opener against Northwestern (100-57).

Their 24 steals, their most since 2013, helped the Ducks pile up 32 fast-break points and 54 points in the paint. Oregon's defense has recorded 12-plus steals while forcing at least 23 turnovers in all four games this season. The four straight games with double-digit steals are one shy of matching the longest streak from a season ago, while the four consecutive games forcing 20-plus turnovers is its longest since eight straight such games during the 2010-11 season.
» Oregon is recording a steal on 19.6 percent of opponent possessions - the second-highest rate in the Big Ten and ninth-highest in the nation.

Fiso, who was the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Washington her senior season, got her first career start in the season opener against West Georgia and turned in her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 assists - without a turnover. She dropped a career-high 20 points while handing out 10 assists against Grand Canyon on Nov. 11 and again put up a points-assists double-double with 12 points and 10 helpers Sunday against Army.
» In two wins last week, she averaged 16.0 points and 10.0 assists while going 14-of-16 from the field (87.5 percent) and was named to the Big Ten's weekly honor roll on Monday.

Senior F Mia Jacobs, a Fresno State transfer, has made an immediate impact for Oregon on the young season. She leads the team at 16.5 points per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the floor. Jacobs has finished as the team's leading scorer in three of four games, including a season-high 26 points in UO's 84-66 win over Grand Canyon on Nov. 11. It marked the highest scoring performance by a Duck since Te-Hina Paopao scored 28 points against Stanford on March 2, 2023. Additionally, she has connected on 21-of-22 free throw attempts on the season (95.5 percent).
» Her free throw percentage is third-highest in the Big Ten, while she ranks sixth nationally in free throw shooting among players with at least 20 made free throws (tops in the conference).
» She went 12-of-13 from the line against GCU, marking the most made free throws by a Duck since Sabrina Ionescu made 17 against Mississippi State on Dec. 18, 2018.
» Last season, Jacobs led the Mountain West with 19 double-doubles last season, which tied for No. 7 nationally, as she averaged 18.3 points and 10.0 rebounds while shooting 40.8 percent from the floor.

WHATTYA SAY, RAMBO
According to head coach Kelly Graves, junior F Sarah Rambus put together one the team's best offseasons and is ready to make a big leap forward in 2025-26. Rambus displayed some of that potential in the team's lone exhibition game against Western Oregon, as she scored a game-high 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting while grabbing eight rebounds. In the season opener with West Georgia, she earned her third career start and turned in 13 points in just 14 minutes, going 6-for-10 from the field while grabbing four boards.
Rambus has started all four games this season, the first consecutive starts of her career, while surpassing 10 points three times after scoring 12 on 6-of-10 shooting against Army on Sunday. Rambus now has six career games scoring in double figures, with UO going unbeaten in those contests.
A.T., ARE YA WITH ME?
Senior G Astera Tuhina, who enters her first season in Eugene after three at Washington State, has made in impact off the bench through four games of her Oregon career. Tuhina scored a season-high 11 points off the bench in an 84-66 win over GCU on Nov. 11, accounting for 11 of the Ducks' 15 bench points, to go with three assists.
In UO's win against Montana on Nov. 8, she carded a career-high five steals while handing out four assists without a turnover. In her UO debut on Nov. 3, Tuhina logged six assists without committing a turnover. The Kosovo native has 15 assists on the season against only one turnover - as she leads the nation with a 15.00 assist-to-turnover ratio among players averaging at least 15.0 minutes per game.
