10/28/25 | Men's Golf
Carmel, Calif. – After shooting an 8-under 64 on Day 1 of the Cal Poly Invitational, freshman Sebastian Desoisa concluded the tournament with a stellar third round to finish 17-under par across three rounds. Desoisa took the lead after round one and did not falter, finishing five strokes ahead of second place finisher Mans Boje of Grand Canyon.
"Seb [Desoisa] was amazing. He handled the pressure so well. What a bright future he has," head coach Casey Martin said. "The rest of the guys hung in there. We had a nice season to a challenging fall season."
This marks the second individual medalist effort by an Oregon freshman this season, after Oscar Lent secured the Tindall Individual Tournament title in September.
Led by Desoisa's performance, the Oregon lineup ended the tournament in third at 23-under 841, their best finish of the fall slate. BYU claimed the team title, finishing 29-under, five strokes ahead of runner-up Long Beach State. Continuing their roles as consistent forces in the Duck lineup, seniors Jay Gould-Healy and Aiden Krafft finished in the top-20, alongside Jeffrey Kwak who competed as an individual.
