
Men's Tennis Falls to No. 18 Stanford

NORMAN, Okla. - Oregon men's tennis dropped their first match of the season today, a 4-0 defeat to No. 18 ranked Stanford.
The match was the first of two today at the ITA Kick-Off in Norman, Oklahoma and the Ducks will play either Oklahoma or Tulsa at 8 a.m. PT on Sunday.
The Ducks nearly got the doubles point to start the day after Lenn Luemkemann and Matthew Burton defeated No. 36 ranked Samir Banerjee and Nico Godsick on court one. The Cardinal got even with a win on court three, leaving court two with the deciding point. Stanford won a tight one 7-5 to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
Stanford needed just three points to win and got them with three sweeps, winning courts one, two and six to win the match 4-0.
