
Split Weekend at Nuttycombe, Cowboy Jamboree

The women's championship 6K in Wisconsin goes off at 10:20 a.m. (PT).
EUGENE, Ore. – Three weeks removed from its 2024 season opener, the No. 4 Oregon women's cross country team is in Madison, Wis., for Friday's Nuttycombe Invitational. The championship 6K race goes off at 10:20 a.m. (PT) and will be streamed live on BTN+ and RunnerSpace. The next day, the No. 22 UO men will take on the Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Okla.
The women's championship 6K at Nuttycombe is set to feature 15 of the top-30 teams in the country. The loaded field will also feature seven teams from the Big Ten with Oregon, Illinois, Michigan, No. 24 Northwestern, No. 29 Penn State, No. 5 Washington and No. 19 Wisconsin.
Oregon's entry list includes Mia Barnett, Ali Ince, Kendall Martin, Harper McClain, Samantha McDonnell, Wilma Nielsen, Charlotte Sinke, Anika Thompson and Ella Thorsett. The day will begin at 9 a.m. (PT) with a women's 'B' race.
Thompson and Barnett went 1-2 at the season-opening Pre's Trail Run (Sept. 6) in Eugene.
In Stillwater, the UO men have entered a list of Benjamin Balazs, Simeon Birnbaum, Elliott Cook, Evan Dorenkamp, Tayson Echohawk, Quincy Norman, Tomas Palfrey, Jeffery Rogers, Josh Schumacher and Aiden Smith.
All scheduled runners aside from Palfrey and Rogers would be making their season debuts.
Saturday's 8K is scheduled for a 6:50 a.m. (PT) start on the Greiner Family Course. The Ducks are up against a Jamboree field that also includes top-ranked Oklahoma State, No. 8 New Mexico and No. 24 Texas.
This weekend marks the final split competition for the Ducks who next host the Dellinger Invitational (Oct. 11) at the Pine Ridge Golf Club in Springfield, Ore.
