
NCAA Championships Begin Wednesday at Hayward Field

The Ducks have a total of 20 national qualifiers.
EUGENE, Ore. – The 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championships begin Wednesday afternoon at Hayward Field. The Ducks take 20 national qualifiers into to meet which begins with the men's competition on day one. Rafael Raap will the first Oregon athlete in action when the decathlon starts at 12:30 p.m.
Outside of the ESPN television schedule, there will be specific ESPN+ links for all field events and multis. Day one coverage on ESPN2 begins at 4:30 p.m. and will feature four other UO men including the trio of Elliott Cook, Rheinhardt Harrison and Tomas Palfrey in the 1500 meters. PJ Ize-Iyamu will be making his individual debut at the NCAA meet in the 100 meters.
The women's competition begins Thursday. The Women of Oregon enter the meet with 15 qualifiers, up one with this week's addition of Annika Williams in the heptathlon. Overall, the UO women have entries in 13 events and will have two scoring opportunities Thursday with Jaida Ross in the shot put and Shelby Moran in the hammer.
