Ducks Finish Regular Season in LA

EUGENE, Ore. – The 67th-ranked Oregon women's tennis team completes a four-match road trip through the state of California this weekend, taking on No. 10 USC on Friday before concluding the regular season Saturday at No. 15 UCLA.

The Ducks seek to snap a two-match skid after dropping matches at No. 10 California and fifth-ranked Stanford last weekend. Including this weekend, seven of UO's last eight matches – and nine of its last 11 – have come against teams in the ITA's top-75 poll, while 10 of the 11 Pac-12 schools are nationally ranked.
Uxia Martinez Moral leads Oregon with 12 dual singles wins, with Jo-Yee Chan and Karin Young both tied for second with 11 victories. Freshman Candela Aparisi has a team-leading four victories during Pac-12 play and has won five of her last six completed matches overall.
On the double side, Oregon has clinched the doubles point in 11 of 20 matches this season after clinching the doubles point against WSU. Chan and Sophie Luescher have picked up four doubles wins this spring, including against Washington State at the top spot in the lineup. Aparisi and Young have a team-high seven doubles wins during the spring dual season.
The Trojans' roster features four ranked singles players, led by 36th-ranked Emma Charney. Charney is also part of USC's No. 20 doubles team along with Eryn Cayetano. Graqce Piper, who is ranked 63rd in singles, and Parker Fry make up the nation's No. 56 doubles tandem.
UCLA is led by No. 32 Kimmi Hance, who headlines three Bruins ranked in the top 70. Fangran Tian and Elise Wagle are ranked 36th on the doubles side, with Hance and partner Anna-Christine Lutkemeyer coming in at No. 65.
The Ducks are 2-24 all-time against USC with a 1-27 record against the Bruins. Both of Oregon's victories against the Trojans have come since 2017, with the last coming in 2021. UO defeated UCLA in the Pac-12 Tournament in 2017, 4-3.
