Oregon's weekend begins Saturday against No. 1 UCLA at 9 a.m. (PT).
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon beach volleyball team is off to Tempe, Ariz., for the Pac-12 South Invite. The Ducks' weekend features matches against four of the top-seven teams in the country. Oregon faces top-ranked UCLA at 9 a.m. (PT) followed by a dual with No. 2 UCLA at 5 p.m.
Both Saturday matches will be televised on Pac-12 Washington. The Ducks will also play No. 7 California and third-ranked USC during their stay in Arizona. Sunday's action will air across the Pac-12 Networks.
Oregon (1-7) enters the weekend off a pair 3-2 setbacks to Saint Mary's and San Jose State, both coming down to the final match in play. It was the team's third and fourth 3-2 results in eight matches so far this season.
The duo of Presley McCaskill and Isabel Patterson lead Oregon with three wins, one playing in the No. 4 spot and two coming in the fifth position in the UO lineup. Jensen Kaelin and Ashley Schroeder went 2-0 on the final day of last weekend's Battle of the Bay, picking up both wins on court three. Schroeder now sits just one win shy of reaching 40 in her career.
Natasha George and Sophie Gregoire also have two wins as a pair.
Along with the McCaskill-Patterson duo, Daley McClellan and Alina Valenti have played alongside each other in all eight matches—all at No. 1 pairs—this season. The tandem recorded its first win in a three-set result against Saint Mary's last weekend.
