Home Weekend at Hayward Field

The Oregon Preview begins Friday at 12:45 p.m. for field events and 6:50 p.m. for running events.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Ducks' outdoor season ramps up this weekend with the two-day Oregon Preview at Hayward Field. The team's home opener begins Friday with field events beginning at 12:45 p.m. with the men's hammer. Running events start at 6:50 p.m.
Day one of the Oregon Preview is free and open to all fans. Tickets for Saturday's slate can be purchased in-person or by clicking HERE.
Along with the home meet, the Ducks will have members of its sprints and hurdles traveling to the SDSU Aztec Invitational which will be held Saturday.
On the heels of a victory last weekend at the PNW Invite, reigning Pac-12 champion Shelby Moran is set to compete in the hammer Friday afternoon at 3:15 p.m. Mason Strunk, the No. 8 performer in program history, is entered in the men's hammer.
Friday's schedule of field events also includes the high jump and javelin. Last weekend in Corvallis, both Austin Milton and Kohana Nakato turned in runner-up efforts in the javelin.
With an eye on posting an early season regional qualifier, Friday evening's running schedule includes the 5,000 meters and 3,000-meter steeplechase. Anika Thompson, off a career-best indoor campaign, opens the night session in the women's 5K. The UO men have four entries in the steeplechase, the last event of day one.
Saturday's schedule begins with the women's pole vault at noon and the running events are set to begin at 2:30 p.m.
