STANFORD, Calif. – The Oregon beach volleyball team dropped a pair of down-to-the-final-court duals Saturday, falling to Saint Mary's (Calif.) and San Jose State on the final day of the Battle of the Bay. The Ducks' No. 3 pair of Jensen Kaelin and Ashley Schroeder were 2-0 on the day.

The Gaels jumped out to a 2-0 match lead before Oregon mounted a comeback with victories on courts three and one, respectively, to pull even. However, the SMC duo of Nya Crump and Paolo Peralta got a three-set win at No. 5 pairs to secure the dual.
Kaelin and Schroeder posted a 22-20, 21-9 win over Angie Bour and Allie Cataldo to register the Ducks' first point of the day, and the duo's first victory of the season. In a three-set matchup, Daley McClellan and Alina Valenti topped Sedona Sherman and Sadie Shipman at the top spot in the lineup to tie things up.
Presley McCaskill and Isabel Patterson took the first set against Crump and Peralta before the SMC duo rallied to give its team the victory.
