Doyle, Ducks Finish Fourth at The Preserve

CARMEL, Calif. – Eric Doyle earned his first top-five finish since his sophomore campaign after finishing fourth at The Preserve Golf Club Collegiate on Tuesday. The senior was a model of consistency during the two-day tournament, carding a 7-under 209 for his lowest score of the season.
As a team, Oregon finished fourth overall at 3-under par, its first result of par or better this season. The Ducks tied for the most pars in the field over 54 holes with 170. UCLA took home the team title at 23-under par, 10 strokes ahead of runner-up San Diego State.
Colorado State's Jay Pabin claimed the individual title at 9-under, with UCLA's Pablo Ereno and SDSU's Chanachon Chokprajakchat just behind him at 8-under. Doyle was the lone competitor to finish at 7-under.
How It Happened
Doyle tallied six birdies and a bogey across 36 holes on Monday, and that momentum carried into Tuesday's final round. The senior turned in his second flawless scorecard of the tournament, posting 16 pars to go along with birdies on No. 13 and No. 18 for a third-round 70. Doyle led the field with a 2.75 par-3 scoring average and 45 pars over 54 holes of play.
Jay Gould-Healy also put together his best tournament as a Duck, earning his first-career top-10 finish with a 3-under 213 that was highlighted by Monday's 5-under 67. The junior tallied four birdies and three bogeys for a 1-under 71, his second under-par round of the tournament and third of the season to finish T10. Gould-Healy posted the fourth-best par-4 scoring average in the field at 3.93 and his 37 pars tied for the third-most at The Preserve.
Aiden Krafft earned his third top-25 finish of the season with a 1-over 217 to place T21. Krafft carded two birdies in his final round, but three bogeys and a double in his final nine holes led to a 4-over 76. The junior led the Ducks with 13 birdies and a 4.75 par-5 scoring average.
Greyson Leach posted his best round of the event in the finale, shooting a 1-over 73 with 17 pars and a bogey. The senior finished T39 with a 6-over 222. Jeffrey Kwak wrapped up the Duck lineup, finishing the tournament at 22-over.
Competing as an individual, Kyreece Romero wrapped up his second round on Tuesday morning, carding a 2-under 70 with four birdies. He finished the final round at 3-over for a 9-over 225 total, coming in T49.
