Home Finale Marks End of Regular Season

EUGENE, Ore. – After consecutive weekends on the road, the University of Oregon men's tennis team returns to its home courts for its final two matches of the regular season. The Ducks' weekend opener will be Friday against 12th-ranked Stanford with first serve set for 2 p.m. (PT).
During Saturday's home finale against Cal, the Ducks will honor its three seniors—Armando Soemarno, Ethan Young-Smith and Thomas Laurent—following the doubles point.

Oregon enters the weekend with a 13-7 overall record and 1-5 mark in Pac-12 play. The Ducks have won 10 of 11 home matches this season including their league opener against Washington (March 9). In the most recent ITA release, Oregon moved up three spots to No. 45 with Laurent checking in as the No. 12 singles player in the nation.
Freshman Joshua Charlton has continued his strong play in the singles lineup, picking up his 15th-straight win April 12 at No. 13 UCLA. He defeated the Bruins' Ben Goldberg in straight sets at the No. 4 spot and remains unbeaten in dual play.
Laurent leads the Ducks with 21 wins in singles play, followed closely by Charlton and sophomore Riki Oshima with 19 each. Charlton and junior Ty Gentry are the team leaders in doubles victories with 18 and 17, respectively.
