Non-Conference Road Trip to Santa Barbara
03/14/19 | Men's Tennis
EUGENE, Ore. – The No. 17 University of Oregon men's tennis team takes its 10-match winning streak into Friday's road match at UCSB. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. (PT) on the Gauchos' home courts. Oregon's winning streak is the program's longest since an 11-match stretch in 2013-14.

Three Ducks enter the weekend with double-digit winning streaks of their own. Junior Ty Gentry is on a 13-match streak while freshman Joshua Charlton and senior Thomas Laurent have won 12 and 10 in a row, respectively. Laurent continues his stay among the nation's best as the No. 5 player in the nation.

Oregon has needed strong singles play having dropped its last three doubles points. The team has been able to overcome slow starts in dual play with a 5-1 record when losing the doubles point.

The Gauchos' lineup features three top-95 players with No. 13 Nicolas Moreno de Alboran, No. 39 Joseph Guillin and No. 94 Victor Krustev. Oregon and UCSB have played three common opponents this season. UCSB (6-4) opens its weekend Thursday at No. 20 UCLA before hosting the Ducks on Friday.
