ROLLING HILLS ESTATE, Calif. – Play at the Kramer Classic continued today for two members of the Oregon men's tennis team.
The day started with doubles play. After receiving a first-round bye, Daan Maasland and Simon Stevens faced SMU pair Hunter Johnson and Yates Johnson. The Mustang duo was able to take the match 8-3, moving Maasland/Stevens over to the consolation bracket.
In singles, Stevens took on UCLA's Joseph DiGiulio. After dropping the first set 6-4, Stevens pushed DiGiulio to a tiebreaker in the second set but eventually fell. Maasland faced Yates Johnson (SMU) and won the first set 6-3 but then dropped the next two, 7-5, 7-5.
