Prakel Leads Men at USATF State Championships

PORTLAND, Ore. – Freshman Sam Prakel finished second in 25:47.0 to lead the Oregon men's cross country team Saturday at the USATF Oregon State XC Championships at Pier Park.
Matt Jablonski was fourth in 25:48.2, followed by Jackson Darland in eighth (26:26.4), Colby Alexander ninth (26:33.1), Bryan Fernandez 13th (26:52.5) and Chris Brewer 37th (28:10.5).
The race was won by former Duck All-American Andrew Wheating, who covered the 8,000 meters in 25:16.5.
