Ducks Lose 7-0 to #4 UCLA

EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon women's tennis team fell to 5-9 on the year after dropping their second Pac-10 match of 2010 to the No. 4 ranked Bruins of UCLA, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon. The match took place outdoors at the 18th Street Tennis Courts due to NCAA rule.
After dropping the doubles point, the best match for the Ducks came in the No. 3 singles match between Pavlina Smatova of Oregon and Stephanie Hoffpauir of UCLA. The first set went to a tiebreak with Smatova winning 7-6. UCLA's Hoffpauir was able to battle back to win the pairing going 7-5, and 10-5 in the third set tiebreak.The Ducks return to action in Tempe, Ariz. where they will take on the Sun Devils of Arizona St. on Friday, March 12th, at 1:30 pm.
