Ducks Dropped by #11 Bruins, 6-1

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Oregon women's tennis team dropped its first match of a SoCal swing, falling 6-1 to No. 11 UCLA at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.
The No. 45 ranked Ducks fall to 7-5 overall (1-2 Pac-10) while the Bruins increase to 12-2 in 2009 (1-0 Pac-10).
Oregon's lone point in the match came at No. 6 singles, with freshman Trudie du Toit toppling UCLA's Stephanie Wetmore 3-6, 7-6(4), 10-6. It was the only match on Friday to take three sets.
The Ducks will stay in town to battle No. 10 USC on Saturday. The Trojans feature five singles players ranked in the top-100.
