
Ducks Fly Past Tigers, 5-2

The No.3 spot finished first in doubles play, when Francisco Gallardo and Stephen Wiechert defeated Vegerd Veskigami and Pedro Toledo, 8-4.
After a hard fought match at the No.2 spot, Alexander Cornelissen and Marcos Verdasco posted 8 points to Artem Gramma and Renan Delsin's 6, gaining the second Duck victory of the afternoon.
The match at the No.1 spot went into overtime. After an 8-8 tie, Moritz Starke and David Gonzalez defeated Marcos Verdasco and Geoff Embry in a heart breaking loss, 8-9.
As singles play began, the Ducks played steadily, winning three out of the first six matches.
The first finisher was Mortera at the No.5 spot, defeating Veskimagi 6-2, 6-1.
The match at the No.6 spot finished next, with Wiechert surpassing Chase Oliphant, 6-2, 6-2.

Cornelissen went down in the first match at the No.3 spot, but he brought it back in the next match, winning 7-5. Sadly, the third match spelled defeat for the Ducks, when Gonzalez won it 6-2.
Embry lost 3-6 in the first match at the No.4 spot, but with a spectacular comeback redeemed himself in the second, winning 6-4. The third match brought the Ducks another victory, with Embry winning 6-3.
Starting out with a first match score of 6-4 at the No.2 spot, Gallardo fell behind Gramma in the second, 2-6. Gallardo was able to take the victory with a third match score of 6-4.
The Ducks win 5-2, making their season record 7-7.
