Oregon Women's Tennis lose to the No. 13 Arizona State

At the No. 2 doubles Jessica Leitch and Wendy Pilecka
defeated Carmen Seremeta and Claudia Hirt 8-5. The matched was tied at 5-5,
before the Sun Devil duo broke away. Also, Kelcy McKenna and Micaela Hein
defeated Siobhan Cavan and Mimi Songsermsawas 8-3.
At the No. 1 singles Abdala defeated Celine Rolly, they went back
and fourth the whole match. Rolly took the first set 6-3, and led the second
5-4. Abdala fought back and forced the set to a tie break. Abdala later went on
to win the tie break 10-7 and the match.
The No. 2 competition of Seremeta and McKenna looked like it was going to be a classic. The first set went 7-6 for McKenna. However, McKenna dominated the second set 6-1 to take the match.
Laila Abdala won 6-1, 6-3 against Macfarlane at the No. 3
spot. Originally Anna Powaska was scheduled to play at the three position, but
since she was unable to go Macfarlane and the others all were forced to play up
a spot.
Micaela Hein defeated Siobhan Cavan at the No. 4 spot, 6-3,
6-3.
Leitch proved to be too much for Mimi Songsermsawas at the
No. 5 spot, Leitch won 6-0, 6-1.
Pilecka pulled ahead quickly at the No.6 spot, and Tina
Snodgrass could not get enough points, Pilecka won 6-0, 6-0.
