Women's Tennis: Oregon loses at Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio ? The Oregon women's tennis team (5-4, 0-0 Pac-10) was defeated by Ohio State (6-2, 0-0 Big Ten) Sunday, 5-2, at the OSU Varsity Tennis Center.
Angela DiPastina and Celine Rolly
battled in No. 1 singles, with Rolly coming out the victor in a
tiebreaker, 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10).
Christina Keesey and Carmen
Seremeta went to three sets at No. 3 singles. Keesey won the first set,
6-3, while Seremeta took the second by the same score. Seremeta broke
through to win the final set and the match, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
Paloma Escobedo won a 6-1, 6-3, victory over Anna Powaska in No. 2 singles. At the No. 4 spot, Julie Blackmore defeated Ana Cecilia Olivos 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (7).
Cami Hubbs defeated Stephanie Mcfarlane 6-1, 6-2. This is Stephanie's first back to back loses of the season, with the last loss coming at Michigan. At the No. 6 spot Caitlin O'Keefe defeated Siobhan Cavan 6-2, 6-0.
Ohio State won four out of the six singles matches, as well as winning the doubles point. For a combined score of 5-2 Ohio State.
At
the No. 1 doubles spot, it was DiPastina and Keesey defeating Rolly
and MacFarlane by a score of 8-2, while in No. 2 doubles, Hubbs and
Blackmore defeated Powaska and Cavan, 8-2.
The No. 3 spot for Ducks didn't go well either. Seremeta and Hirt loss to Escobedo and O'Keefe 8-0.
