
Ducks Continue Early Season Dominance, Sweep South Dakota State

The Ducks (3-0) prevailed 30-23, 30-25 and 30-23, sending a determined SDSU squad home with a 1-3 mark to start the season. Game 2 was highlighted by ten points off blocks for
“I don't think I've ever had a team score a third of its points off blocks in one game,” said Jim Moore, who remained unbeaten as the Ducks' head coach. “We capitalized on the momentum from Friday (a pair of wins) and again played with confidence, which is going to be a key for us all season.”
Kelly Russell led all players with 19 kills and a .552 hitting percentage. The senior hitter is averaging 5.60 kills per game to go with a .532 percentage over the first ten games of the season.
Freshman Mira Djuric also registered double-digit kills, tallying ten.
