
Nealy Saves Best for Last at NCAA Championships

SUNRIVER, Ore. ? Oregon's Johnna Nealy saved her best round for last.
The senior from Grants Pass, Ore., shot a 2-over 73 during Friday's final round of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, played at the 6,312-yard, par-71 Meadows Course. She finished tied for 85th at 307, moving up 11 spots from Thursday.
Nealy, who birdied three of her first four holes, had five birdies, five bogeys and a double bogey on Friday. Her previous best round in Sunriver was a 76 on the first day of the tournament.
"It was really rewarding to see Johnna finish her career on a positive note," said Oregon coach Shannon Rouillard. "She represented Oregon well today."
Duke shot a 13-over 297 to win the NCAA Championship by five strokes with a four-round total of 1170. Defending champ UCLA mounted a slight charge with an 8-over 293, but settled for second at 1175. Auburn was third at 1176.
The Blue Devils' Anna Grzebien shot a 2-over 73 to win the individual title by one stroke over Virginia's Leah Wigger, who recorded a 2-under 69 Friday to finish at 3-over 287. Grzebien finished at 2-over 286, including Thusday's round of 6-under 65.
