
No. 6 UCLA Defeats Men's Tennis, 6-1

LOS ANGELES ? The University of Oregon men's tennis team (7-13, 0-4) came up on the losing end against No. 6 UCLA, 6-1, Saturday. No. 22 Sven Swinnen snapped a three-match losing streak, defeating No. 10-ranked Benjamin Kohlloeffel, 6-4, 6-4.
The Bruins won all three doubles matches and went on to win five of six singles matches. Swinnen improved to 21-6 overall with a straight set win over Kohlloeffel. The Switzerland native is one win shy of tying a career-high and three wins from tying Dougal Williams (24-13-1, 1994-95) for the Duck all-time single-season mark. Swinnen has defeated eight ranked players this season.
The Ducks return home next weekend to play host to Arizona (Fri., 1:30 p.m.) and Arizona State (Sat., 1 p.m.).
