Danny Woodley joined the Oregon beach volleyball program as an assistant coach in July 2025.
Woodley comes from an extensive background at the club level, most recently working with Actyve Volleyball and Vertical Sports Performance as a coach and trainer in Santa Monica, Calif. During his time with Actyve, he was a two-time coach of the year and helped lead the club to the 2023 USAV Junior National title in the USA division.
Woodley founded the Tidal Beach Volleyball Club in Los Angeles in 2021, has served as a coach at Long Beach State and UCLA summer camps and carries further experience as an assistant coach at the high school and middle school levels.
The San Diego, Calif., native was a member of the UCLA men’s volleyball team and was a five-time selection to the directors honor roll. Woodley graduated from UCLA in 2014 with a degree in geography.
