Fall 2006: Rebounded from early loss in Duck Invitational to record two wins against members of Nevada’s team...2-3 overall singles record and 1-3 in doubles...Lone doubles win came partnered with Hugh McDonald.
2005-06: Played his best tennis at the end of the year, advancing to the quarterfinals of the Pac-10 tournament, after defeating Jaysen Chung of UCLA and Stanford’s Dave Ryan...Partnered with Markus Schiller to upset the #45 team of Chris Surapol and Haythem Abid of UCLA in doubles.
2004-05: Much improved as a sophomore, Vlad finished 12-18 overall and 9-13 in dual meet action...Had five wins at the No. five spot and went 2-2 at the No. four slot...Won seven doubles matches as well, with multiple partners.
2003-04: Forced into action at the No. 6 position during the dual season due to injuries...Only two wins of the season came at John and Phil’s tournament.
Before Oregon: Ranked in the top-10 Swedish National Rankings (18 and under).
Personal: Born January 25, 1984 in Stockholm, Sweden...Son of Juan Pino...Has two brothers, Nikolai and Ivan.
