Josh Seitz is in his first season as the Assistant Athletic Director for Track and Field Operations, joining the program ahead of the 2022-23 academic year.
Seitz spent the past six-plus seasons as an assistant coach at Portland State where he led the Vikings’ distance program. Last fall, he guided the men’s and women’s cross country teams to their highest Big Sky Conference finishes in program history. Seitz began his coaching career at Morehead State as an assistant in 2012-13, and followed with four years on the coaching staff at Florida State.
Seitz was a cross country and track and field student-athlete at Southern Oregon, and graduated with his degree in business administration with a marketing emphasis. As a grad transfer at Morehead State, he earned a Master of Art in teaching in 2013. Seitz was also spent 10 months in 2016 as a Fulbright English teaching assistant at Bungoma Muslim Secondary School in Kenya.
