Quick Turnaround For Ducks As Stephens Cup Begins Monday

FRISCO, Texas - Fresh off a top-three finish in its 2026-27 season opener, the Oregon women's golf team returns to action beginning on Monday at the prestigious Jackson T. Stephens Cup at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco.

The Ducks will make their third straight appearance at the Stephens Cup, which features six of the top programs in the nation. The tournament will begin on Monday with 36 holes of stroke play followed by a final round of stroke play on Tuesday. The top two teams through stroke play will face off in a championship match on Wednesday, and the third- and fourth-place teams will go head-to-head in a third-place match.

Golf Channel will have live coverage of the event beginning at 2:00 p.m. PT on Monday and 1:00 p.m. on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Top-Three Finish In Season Opener
Playing in their first tournament since three-time, first-team all-American Kiara Romero left for the LPGA, the Ducks came away with a top-three finish against a strong field at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate last week to open the 2026-27 season. All five players in Oregon's lineup shot par-or-better in the second round to move UO into second place with an 8-under 280, and another solid showing in the final round secured third place for the Ducks. Junior Tong An, an all-Big Ten first-team selection last season, led the way in a tie for fifth overall at 2-under par while shooting par-or-better in all three rounds, and freshman Celina Yeo tied for 11th at even par in her collegiate debut. Sophomore Shyla Singh was just one stroke back of Yeo at 1 over to tie for 15th, and sophomore Trinity Beth gave Oregon four players in the top 25 in a tie for 22nd at 2 over. Junior Annika Ishiyama struggled in the first and third rounds but put together the best round by a Duck all week with a 3-under 69 in the second round, helping Oregon move up the leaderboard. It was UO's fourth straight top-three finish at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate after placing second in each of the last three seasons.

Let's See What She's Got
The Jackson T. Stephens Cup will mark the Oregon and collegiate debut for freshman Prim Prachnakorn, one of the top 2026 recruits in the nation and currently the No. 47 ranked amateur in the world. Prachnakorn and Yeo teamed up to form the nation's top-ranked signing class in 2026 according to Golfweek, and the two will get a taste of playing in the national spotlight early in their careers at the Stephens Cup with Golf Channel set to broadcast live on all three days.

Consistently Elite
Oregon has been one of the nation's most consistent teams since head coach Derek Radley took over ahead of the 2018-19 season. During Radley's tenure, the Ducks have racked up 12 team victories, 22 runner-up finishes and 64 top-five showings in 83 stroke-play tournaments. Oregon has reached the national semifinals or better at the NCAA Championships in three of the last five years, including a trip to the national championship match in 2021-22 and back-to-back semifinal appearances in 2023-24 and 2024-25.

Ducks at the Stephens Cup
Oregon is competing at the Stephens Cup for the third year in a row and heads to Frisco hoping to pick up its first match-play victory in the tournament. The Ducks placed second in stroke play in 2024 before dropping a narrow 3-2 match to Arkansas in the championship match. Oregon then finished fourth in stroke play in 2025 and again fell, 3-2, to Texas in match play. An is making her third Stephens Cup appearance, and Singh was in Oregon's lineup at the event last season as a freshman.
