Hayward Field Hosts World U20s This Week

Four Ducks—one current, three signees—to compete for global medals.
EUGENE, Ore. – Beginning Wednesday morning, Hayward Field at the University of Oregon will host the World Athletics U20 Championships. Four Ducks—one current and three signees—are set to compete in the meet including Juan Gonzalez who just completed his freshman season in Eugene.

Eugene previously hosted this meet—then the World Junior Championships—at Historic Hayward Field in 2014. Ariana Washington, then an incoming UO freshman, won a gold medal with Team USA in the 4x100-meter relay.
