
Big Ten Announces Postseason Volleyball Tournament

The 2026 Big Ten Volleyball Tournament will be held Nov. 20-25 in Fishers, Ind.
EUGENE, Ore. — Beginning with its upcoming fall season, the Big Ten Conference will host a postseason tournament as announced by the league office Thursday. The inaugural Big Ten Volleyball Tournament will take place Nov. 20-25, 2026, at the Fishers Event Center in Fishers, Ind.

"The Big Ten has always been first class in the way it treats and presents volleyball," head coach Trent Kersten said. "This tournament adds another showcase for our sport and for the incredible teams and talented players in our conference."

The tournament will feature a 15-team format with three opening-round matches featuring seeds No. 10-15 on Wednesday, Nov. 20. With the addition of the tournament, the regular season will adjust to a 17-match conference schedule—from 20 matches—and move to a single round-robin format.

Tickets for the 2026 Big Ten Volleyball Tournament will go on sale at a later date. Fans can fill out a form at bigten.org/vbtickets to be notified via email when ticket sale begin.

Thursday's conference release also included date announcement—Aug. 3—for the fifth annual Big Ten Volleyball Media Day in Chicago. Interested media can apply for a credential here.

Oregon welcomes back 10 returners from last year's team that was 17-13 in the program's first season under Kersten. The Ducks were 8-12 in Big Ten play which included top-25 wins over Minnesota, Purdue and UCLA, and finished tied for 10th in the league standings.

The Ducks will host Oregon State next Friday, April 24, in the team's home spring match. First serve will be at 6 p.m. inside Matthew Knight Arena.

Earlier this spring, the conference office announced matchups for the first Big Ten/SEC Challenge Week. Oregon will play the Missouri Tigers in a non-conference match set for Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Mo.
