Both teams are ranked among the top 10 in this week’s USTFCCCA release.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon track and field team racked up five wins, two NCAA leaders and 17 top-10 program marks this past weekend at the Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., and 118th Millrose Games in New York City. The Ducks also collected 21 top-25 national marks over the weekend.
As a result of their standout weekend in Arkansas, both teams moved up in this week's release of the USTFCCCA national rankings. The Men of Oregon check in at No. 3 and the Women of Oregon are now ranked No. 6 in the national. The Ducks are one of three programs with both teams inside the top 10.
Oregon's wins at the Razorback Invitational came from James Harding over 800 meters, Silan Ayyildiz in the mile, Ben Smith in a school-record showing in the shot put, Liisa-Maria Lusti in the pentathlon and Peyton Bair in the heptathlon. Bair and Wilma Nielsen, running 4:23.56 in the Wanamaker Mile, are the NCAA leaders in their respective events heading into March.
