GLENCOE, Ill. – Oregon women's golf freshman Celina Yeo is the individual leader and the No. 4 Ducks are in second place after opening the Windy City Classic with a 36-hole day on Monday at Lake Shore Country Club.
The Ducks led the field through round one after carding an even-par 284 and improved upon that with a 1-under 283 in round two to enter Tuesday's final round at 1 under par. No. 11 Stanford leads the field at 9 under after shooting 12-under par in the second round, and Oregon is five strokes up on No. 8 Virginia (+4) for second place.Â

The freshman made 11 total birdies against just four bogeys on the day, and she goes into Tuesday with a two-stroke lead over Stanford's Andrea Revuelta for the individual lead.Â

Yeo was a bogey-free 4-under par at the turn in round one before carding three straight bogeys, but she found her groove again with birdies at No. 6 and No. 9 to come in with a 3-under 68.Â
It was more of the same for Yeo in round two, as she ripped off three birdies in a row between 11 and 13. A bogey at 16 put her at 2 under at the turn, but she put together a clean final nine with birdies at No. 4 and No. 9 to card a 4-under 67.Â
Yeo leads the field with 11 total birdies and is tied for the second-fewest bogeys with just four. She is looking to join Kiara Romero (2023-24) and Suvichaya Vinijchaitham (2024-25) as recent UO true freshmen to earn individual wins.Â
An was 3 over the rest of the way in round one after opening with three straight birdies, carding an even-par 71. Shyla Singh was right behind with a 1-over 72, and both Darae Chung and Trinity Beth came in with 73s.Â
Singh joined Yeo in the red in the second round, making three birdies with just one bogey for a 2-under 69. She is tied for seventh overall entering Tuesday at 1-under par, six strokes back of her teammate.Â
