
Ducks Bounce Back with Sweep

STANFORD, Calif - Oregon blanked Utah in decisive fashion, earning a 4-0 victory in the consolation round of the ITA Kickoff Saturday at Stanford.
The Ducks (6-1) set the tone early by sweeping the doubles point, winning at the top two positions. Matthew Burton and Pierre Mouesca posted a 6-4 win at No. 1, while Cameron Burton and Lachlan Robertson matched that score at No. 2 to give Oregon the early edge.
Oregon quickly closed out the match in singles. Matthew Burton was first off the court with a straight-sets win at No. 4, defeating Simeon Terziev 6-3, 6-1. Mouesca followed at No. 2 with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Emmett Potter, and Robertson clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-0 decision against Balthazar Huss at No. 5.
Utah (1-1) managed to keep several remaining singles matches competitive, but play was halted once Oregon secured the fourth point.
