Men's Tennis Moves to 4-0

EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon remained unbeaten with a 4-0 victory over Portland on Friday, improving to 4-0 on the season in a nonconference men's tennis match.
The Ducks secured the doubles point behind wins at Nos. 1 and 3. Matthew Burton and Pierre Mouesca set the tone with a 6-3 win over Cade Fernando and Nikola Keremedchiev at the top spot, while Vlad Breazu and Declan Galligan cruised to a 6-1 victory over Tannor Binder and Lucas Kimelman at No. 3. The No. 2 doubles match was unfinished.
Oregon clinched the dual with straight-set singles wins at Nos. 5, 2 and 3. Russell Soohoo delivered the first singles point with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Stefan Skobelev at No. 5. Mouesca followed with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) victory against Tom Garcia at No. 2, and Matthew Burton closed out the match with a 6-3, 2-6, 6-0 win over Fernando at No. 3.
Three singles matches were left unfinished once the Ducks reached four points. Breazu led Keremedchiev 6-4, 6-5 at No. 1, Lachlan Robertson and Kimelman were tied in the third set at No. 4, and Cameron Burton held a third-set lead at No. 6.
