Ducks at the Prefontaine Classic

The 50th edition of the meet takes place Saturday at Hayward Field.
EUGENE, Ore. - The Men and Women of Oregon will be well-represented this Saturday at the 50th edition of the Prefontaine Classic at Hayward Field. The day's schedule begins at 10 a.m. PT with the broadcast window on NBC and Peacock beginning at 1 p.m.
Current Ducks Simeon Birnbaum and Elliott Cook are scheduled to run in the international section of the mile while recent UO women standouts Jadyn Mays and Jaida Ross return to Hayward Field in the international 100 meters and shot put, respectively.
Mays and Ross helped the Oregon women win the 2025 NCAA Indoor team title this past March.
**UPDATE - NCAA champion Aaliyah McCormick was added to the field of the 100-meter hurdles.**
World-record holder and recent UO grad transfer signee Mykolas Alekna will take on a loaded field in the discus. Alekna, a two-time NCAA runner-up at Cal, was the Olympic silver medalist in Paris last summer.
Reigning Olympic 1500-meter champion Cole Hocker is entered in the Bowerman Mile while Jessica Hull, Susan (Lokayo) Ejore and Nikki Hiltz will line up in the 1500 meters, the final event of the program. Hull ran to a silver medal of her own in Paris.
Raevyn Rogers, 2021 Olympic bronze medalist, is part of the Mutola 800 meters field. Kyree King and Jorinde Van Klinken, both 2024 Olympians, will also compete at Pre in the 200 meters and in the discus, respectively.
