Ducks Play Liberty in Seattle on Friday
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon men's basketball team was announced as a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament today and will face No. 12 seeded Liberty in Seattle on Friday.

Oregon earned the 19th overall seed in the tournament after finishing 24-9 this season and 12-8 in Big Ten play. The Ducks will face a Liberty team (28-6, 13-5 CUSA) that is riding a five-game winning streak after winning the Conference USA tournament. This will be the first meeting between the two teams, and it is also the first time Oregon will be a No. 5 seed in the tournament.
The Ducks are making their 19th overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament and ninth under Coach Altman. Altman's Ducks are 7-0 in first round games – the 2021 team advanced in a no-contest. The advancing team in the first-round matchup will face the winner of No. 4 seeded Arizona and No. 13 seeded Akron in Seattle on Sunday.
