EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon beach volleyball team returns to its home courts Tuesday to host Bushnell on Senior Day. The pre-match ceremony honoring the Ducks' seniors will begin at 1:45 p.m. followed by first serve of the dual at 2 p.m. Admission is free to all fans.
Oregon will be celebrating its 2024 senior class of Lolo Folau, Jensen Kaelin, Ashley Schroeder and Alina Valenti.
Played out over three waves of two, the match will start with the No. 3 and 5 pairs followed by the No. 1 and 6 pairs, and end with the No. 2 and 4 pairs. The dual format is best three of five; No. 6 pairs plays as an exhibition that does not factor in the final score.
Tuesday will mark just the second meeting between Oregon and Bushnell. The two teams first met last year, a 5-0 victory for the Ducks.
This past weekend, Oregon (3-18) picked up a victory over Utah during the Pac-12 North Invitational in Seattle. At the No. 3 spot, Landree Coats and Bella Gamache clinched the dual win with a 19-21, 21-17, 15-9 triumph. The Ducks' second point came from Jensen Kaelin and Ashley Schroeder on court two, a result that doubled as the 40th-career dual win for Schroeder.
Oregon also faced No. 18 Arizona, No. 12 Arizona State and No. 13 Washington during the Pac-12 North.
The Coats-Gamache duo leads the team with five wins followed closely by four wins each for the teams of Natasha George and Sophie Gregoire, and Presley McCaskill and Isabel Patterson.
Bushnell is 6-16 this season and comes into Tuesday's meeting off a 3-2 win over Southern Oregon.
