Ducks Visit Fullerton on Tuesday

THIS WEEK
Oregon will spend spring break in Southern California playing Tuesday at Cal State Fullerton before a three-game series at No. 14 UCLA that begins on Thursday. The Fullerton game will be on ESPN+ and the UCLA games will be on Pac-12 Networks.
SCOTT NAMED PAC-12 POTW
For her effort against Arizona State, including a complete game win, a save and a 0.00 ERA, Morgan Scott was named Pac-12 pitcher of the week. Over the weekend, she threw 9.1 innings, striking out seven and walking none.

Ariel Carlson is now No. 2 in the Pac-12 in HR (9), and RBI (34), No. 3 in slugging pct. (.793) and No. 8 in steals (10). Kai Luschar is No. 1 in steals (18) and is No. 4 in hits (44) and No. 3 in average (.444).

DUCKS RALLY TO SWEEP ARIZONA STATE
Oregon came from behind to win the first two games of the series with ASU before Stevie Hansen and Morgan Scott combined for a shutout in game three. The Ducks trailed 2-0 in both of the first two games before rallying to win. Alyssa Daniell homered twice and Ariel Carlson delivered a walk-off sacrifice fly in game one, while Kedre Luschar had a pinch-hit triple to spark a four-run fourth inning in game two.
CARLSON TOP TWO IN POWER STATS
After homering in four of the last six games, Ariel Carlson now ranks second in the Pac-12 in home runs (9), RBI (34) and slugging percentage. She's also seventh in stolen bases with 10, making her the only player in the conference with nine or more home runs and steals. She's 12-for-27 (.444) in league games with five home runs and 12 RBI. She's also been walked six times and has four stolen bases. Carlson recently entered the UO career top 10 in home runs and is currently tied for seventh with 37.
LUSCHAR PACING PAC-12
Kai Luschar leads the Pac-12 in steals (18) and is fourth in hits (44), third in average (.444) and fourth in on-base percentage (.500). Nationally, she's 15th in steals, 22nd in hits and 29th in batting average. She also one of the toughest batters to strike out - going nearly 20 plate appearances (19.8) between strikeouts.
ELITE LEVEL DEFENSE
A hallmark of coach Melyssa Lombardi's program, Oregon is again one of the best defensive teams in the nation. The Ducks are 11th nationally and third in the Pac-12 and in fielding percentage (.979). Two years ago (2022), Oregon led the Pac-12 and ranked 10th nationally with a .977 fielding percentage. That mark tied the program record set the year before (2021).
GLOVE WORK
Oregon committed two errors in the season opener against Maryland and then had a stretch of 23 games committing one error or less. The streak ended when the Ducks had two errors March 16 at Utah. Oregon has 16 error-free games, 10 single-error games and three, two error games so far in 2024.
