Mary Nutter Classic Up Next for Ducks

No. 23/25 Oregon will see both new and familiar foes at the 2024 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. The Ducks and UCF (NR/RV) will play for the first time, while Oregon has faced Baylor (RV/23), Notre Dame and Long Beach State in the last two seasons. The Ducks and Notre Dame squared off in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Fayetteville Regional. Sunday will mark Oregon's first game with Nebraska since 2016. All games of the Mary Nutter will be live streamed by FloSoftball.
BY THE NUMBERS
58 - The Ducks have now made 58 consecutive appearance in the Top 25. The streak dates back to the 2020 preseason poll.

STAFF SHINES IN SAN DIEGO
Oregon posted some impressive numbers last week at the Campbell/Cartier Classic. In five games, the team posted a 1.31 team earned run average and allowed just six runs with six walks in 32 innings.
SCOTT FACES ONE BATTER OVER THE MINIMUM AT SDSU
Morgan Scott threw a complete game, 2-hit shutout of San Diego State (2-0) where she faced one batter over the minimum Feb. 17 in San Diego. Last season, she tossed shutouts against No. 3 UCLA (3-0) and Arizona (8-0) and also defeated No. 7 Stanford (2-1), California (9-1) and Arizona State (5-2).
IN THE ZONE
Oregon has walked the fewest batters in the Pac-12 this season (10), allowing 0.91 per game. The Ducks are also first in the Pac-12 in strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.60-to-1), second in WHIP (1.00) and third in ERA (1.62).
CARLSON NAMED PAC-12 PLAYER OF THE WEEK
After knocking in 10 runs and being named to the NFCA Leadoff Classic all-tournament team, outfielder Ariel Carlson was named Pac-12 player of the week for Feb. 8-11. The fifth-year senior from Eugene, Ore., hit .500 (8-for-16) over six games with three doubles and two home runs. She had a 1.063 slugging percentage for the tournament in Clearwater, Fla. She also stole two bases. Carlson crushed a pair of home runs against Liberty, including a solo shot in the fifth inning that ended the game in walk-off fashion via the run rule, 8-0. The scene was reminiscent of her walk-off grand slam last May in the NCAA Regional Final at Arkansas. She also tied the school's single-game record with three doubles Sunday against Army. The Ducks went 4-0 in games Carlson had at least one RBI. She drove in four runs against Army, three versus Liberty, two against Missouri State and one versus Kansas. This is the first career Pac-12 honor for Carlson.
LUSCHAR PACING PAC-12
Kai Luschar leads the Pac-12 in hits (17) and stolen bases (9) and ranks 11th and fifth nationally, respectively, in those categories. She's also sixth in the league in batting average at .459. In 2023, Luschar hit .419 (31-of-74) after being cleared to resume hitting on April 1 and scored 28 runs with 14 stolen bases. The team went 18-7 following her return to the plate.
