EUGENE, Ore. - Five different University of Oregon athletics programs achieved a perfect Graduation Success Rate (GSR) of 100 percent by student-athletes who enrolled at the UO between 2014-17 and received athletics aid.
The overall GSR for Oregon Athletics is 85 percent, identical to last year's metric. For UO student-athletes who exhausted their eligibility, their GSR was 89 percent, also the same as last year.
The five UO individual programs achieving a 100% GSR include women's tennis, lacrosse, soccer, women's basketball, and women's golf. The women's tennis program posted a 100% GSR for the eighth consecutive year, while women's golf did so for the seventh consecutive year. The recent cohort also marks the third consecutive 100% GSR for both the Ducks' women's basketball and soccer programs.
A total of 10 UO programs posted a GSR of 81 or above, including football (83%), women's cross country/track and field (81%), men's tennis (89%), acrobatics and tumbling (97%), and volleyball (85%) as well as the five that reached the 100% GSR threshold.
"Supporting Oregon student-athletes' academic excellence, with graduation as the ultimate goal, is our top priority within Oregon Athletics," athletic director Rob Mullens said. "The consistent academic success is a testament to the hard work and commitment of UO student-athletes and the dedication of the Jaqua Center's academic support and student development staff. Strong academic achievement is a core component of an exceptional student-athlete experience here at Oregon, and our commitment in this area remains steadfast."
