Ducks Host Portland on Senior Day

First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Amazon Park; senior ceremonies will take place before the match.
EUGENE, Ore. – For the third time in six days, the Oregon beach volleyball team will play Portland when the two meet Thursday at Amazon Park. The dual will double as Senior Day with pre-match ceremonies beginning at approximately 1:30 p.m. (PT) and first serve scheduled for 2 p.m.
Along with Portland seniors and graduating support staff, the Ducks will be honoring the careers of Zoe Almanza, Chloe Brown and Bea Wetton. There will also be free pizza for fans.

Oregon (9-22) vs Portland (5-14) – 2 p.m.

So Many Wins
Ella Tyus and Bea Wetton set the program record for single-season wins last weekend with their victory over Ava Anderson and Sharli O'Neil of Boise State (April 16). The triumph was the duo's 17th of the year, surpassing the mark of 16 set last season by Brooke Nuneviller and Reagan Hope. Overall, with four wins in five matches last weekend at the Husky Invitational, Tyus and Wetton enter Thursday's match with an 18-13 record.
Last Time Out
The Ducks posted a 3-2 win over Portland (April 16) in the third-place match of the Husky Invitational. It was their second meeting of the weekend. In the finale, the teams split the first four points and the dual came down to the No. 4 spot where Natasha George and Ashley Schroeder posted a 21-19, 19-21, 15-13 victory over the Pilots' Taylor Helle and Elin Larsson.
That's 10: Part Three
Zoe Almanza and Chloe Brown became the third UO pair to reach double-digit wins with a 21-17, 21-18 win over Rorianna Chartier and Sierra Land (April 16) in Seattle. The duo picked up three wins over the weekend to push their season total to 11 victories, joining Tyus/Wetton (18) and George/Schroeder (14) in double figures.
The Opponent: Portland
Portland comes to Eugene with a 5-14 record this season and looking to snap a six-match losing streak. The Pilots had won three in a row before the recent skid. Seniors Noelani Helm and Grace Zilbert were All-WCC Second Team selections last season.
Series History
Including last weekend's results, Oregon has won 14 in a row against Portland. Sunday marked just the third 3-2 outcome between the two teams during that stretch. The Ducks hold a 15-3 advantage in the all-time series.
What's Next?
The postseason begins next week with the Pac-12 Championship (April 26-28) hosted by Stanford. The conference tournament will air on the Pac-12 Networks.
