NAPA VALLEY, Calif. – The Oregon women's golf team opened the Silverado Showdown with a 7-over 295 on Monday at Silverado Country Club.
Coming off the program's first tournament win since 2016 last weekend in Phoenix, the No. 13 ranked Ducks sit in a tie for sixth place through the first 18 holes in Napa Valley. UCLA currently leads the 13-team field at even par.
Oregon was led by freshman Hsin-Yu (Cynthia) Lu, who is in the individual top 10 after firing an even-par 72 on Monday.
How it Happened: Lu opened her day with a bogey, but rebounded nicely with 11 pars and two birdies over her next 13 holes to get to 1-under-par going into No. 15.
