Ronne Paces Ducks on Day Two in Hawaii

WAIKOLOA, HAWAII – Craig Ronne used a strong finish to fire a 4-under 68 and lead the way for Oregon in round two of the Amer Ari Invitational Friday at the Waikoloa Kings' Course. The Ducks shot 3 over on day two and are 12th at 3 under overall.
How it Happened: Ronne birdied his third hole of the day at the par-4 eighth but gave the shot back two holes later with a bogey at 10. After seven straight pars, he picked up a birdie at the par-5 18th to get back to 1 under. Ronne caught fire down the stretch, making three straight birdies to end his day tied for 40th.
Tom Gueant and Nate Stember each turned in 2-over 74s. Gueant began his day with a birdie at the par-5 fourth hole, but couldn't pick up another birdie the rest of the day, making three bogeys. Stember also finished his day with a birdie and three bogeys, picking up his lone birdie of the day at the par-5 18th and is tied for 40th.
