EUGENE, Ore. – A short-handed Oregon women's tennis team dropped a close one to Idaho, 4-3, on Friday at the Student Tennis Center.
How It Happened: Oregon (6-4) executed well to begin the day, defeating Idaho (7-3) in doubles.
Daniela Nasser and Paiton Wagner were the first to finish, downing their opponents on court two, 6-1.
One court over, Julia Eshet made her spring season debut as she paired with Allison Mulville. The duo went on to give the Ducks their first victory of the season at No. 3 doubles and clinch the first point of the day.
In singles, the Vandals captured two early points due to a victory at the No. 5 spot and an Oregon forfeit at the No. 6 spot.
The Ducks countered, claiming two singles points of their own, with Allison Mulville dominating on court four (6-0, 6-1) and Paiton Wagner pulling off the come-back win on court three (7-5, 6-0).
