Oregon Beats San Francisco on the Road, 4-3.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The Oregon Ducks picked up a big victory on the road in California on Thursday afternoon, beating the No. 67 San Francisco Dons, 4-3.
For the Ducks (12-6), the win allowed them to match last year's win total and also gave them their second victory over a ranked team this season (they beat No. 55 Denver in March). San Francisco fell to 11-7.
Oregon won all three doubles matches to start the day, giving them a 1-0 lead. Patricia Skowronski and Nicole Long teamed up for their 13th win of the season, an 8-6 win over Andrea Ka and Sofia Holmberg in the No. 1 match. Julia Metzger and Pascale Neubert outlasted Yurie Hashiguchi and Milica Hadzi-Tanovic in a tie breaker, 8-7 (5), to seal the point in the No. 2 match and Sofia Hager and Brooke Hughes beat Brooke Irish and Marina Nikolic in the No. 3 match, 8-6.
In singles play, No. 102 Long dropped a tough 6-4, 7-5 battle to No. 78 Ka but Skowronski and Metzger each won in the No. 2 and No. 3 matches, respectively. In fact, it was Metzger's 6-3, 6-3 win over Hadzi-Tanovic that gave the Ducks their fourth point of the day to seal the victory.
Lana Buttner posted the other singles win for Oregon, handling Hashiguchi in the No. 6 match, 6-1, 6-3.
Oregon will have little time to celebrate its 4-3 triumph, though. Tomorrow (April 5), the Ducks stay in the Bay Area for a 1:30 p.m. match at California and they wrap up the road trip with a 12 p.m. match at Stanford.
