Oregon vs Washington State
69 - 43
February 3, 2011
Eugene, Ore.

Oregon Head Coach Dana Altman
On the game:
“I thought we set a good tone early. We had lots of good communication; the guys were communicating well with each other and flying around the court. Didn't give them (Washington St.) too many open looks or let them get into a good rhythm.”
On Joevan Catron:
“Joevan played really hard. He played really well not just offensively, but on defense he took three charges, and he got nine rebounds. Joevan finished with a lot of good plays tonight.”
On his players:
“E.J. (Singler) had a good ball game. Malcom (Armstead) had a good effort. Tyrone (Nared) blocked shots early, thought he was really good. Joevan (Catron) and E.J. played good in the middle. A lot of guys made contributions, it was a fun game. Good effort by the guys, they did a great job.”
On the bench:
“Tonight our substitution pattern was good with the exception of Jeremy Jacob not being in the rotation.”
On his team:
“We are a lot different team than a month ago; we have made lots of progress. The guys are working well with each other, we're a better team, but we still have to win. I like the progression we're making; I'd like to keep this up. We have guys that are making good contributions; we just have to keep being better as a team. I've enjoyed working with the guys; they are a good group of guys. ”

Oregon G Garrett Sim
“I think we always had confidence in ourselves.”
“We worked on our rotations. That took away a lot of easy shots tonight.”
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oregon F Joevan Catron
“We definitely felt fresh out there.”
“We really wanted to key on those two scorers. It was a team effort to key in on those guys.”
“I think our defense was pretty good tonight we were rotating and helping each other out. And also it helped that they missed shots.”

Oregon G Jay-R Strowbridge
“That's just coach's style of play. We're going to be a hard-nosed team, beat them up and down the court and we're starting to buy into the system.”
“The team as a whole was getting off extra shots. It turned out good for us tonight.”
“Basketball is a game of fun, especially for myself and Joevan in our senior year. Going out there and playing with a lot of passion.”
“Joevan can get it going. He has quick feet for a guy his size. So we wanted to keep feeding him.”
