BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Oregon women's tennis team lost a marathon match, 4-3 at No. 23 Indiana on Saturday afternoon. The Ducks fall to 5-6 on the season while the Hoosiers improve to 10-2 in 2010.

After Oregon dropped the doubles point, the Ducks needed to put the pressure on in the singles portion. And the Ducks nearly pulled it off.

The singles period saw four of the six singles matches go to third sets.

Freshman Julia Metzger continued her strong rookie season with a 2-6, 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 1 and Trudie du Toit continued her hot streak as well with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 at No. 2. Unfortunately, Oregon couldn't capture two more singles wins, only grabbing one more win with Patricia Skowronski winning 6-4, 6-7 (4), 6-3 at No. 4.

Oregon stays in the Midwest tomorrow, traveling to Columbus to play Ohio State before returning home.
