“I'm pleased with what I'm seeing. We're still a team in learning, but we made a nice step forward tonight. We played better tonight, which goes back to the bench helping us. Our press was better tonight and forced turnovers.”
On the bench:
“It was a good scoring game from our bench. Kristi (Fallin) helped us a bit; Ellyce (Ironmonger) gave us a boost. This is not a five man team; this is a multi person team. When we win the bench is playing well and helping. Nicole (Canepa) was playing well and fighting down low and Laura (Stanulis) was a good help.”
On Amanda Johnson:
“It was a nice solid game by Amanda (Johnson). She did well in scoring and rebounding, we need that from her.”
On what needs to improve:
“We need to do a better job rebounding, we can't let them get 18 offensive rebounds.”

“A strong point of this team is we step up when we need to and we do what we need to help the team win. Laura (Stanulis) was on the floor fighting and creating turnovers.”
On letting Denver fight back within reach:
“I wasn't worried; I have confidence in our team. I felt like we had it in control even though it wasn't pretty and they were coming back.”
On her performance:
“I felt like I contributed, but I still have lots that I need to work on.”
On free throws tonight:
“It was so important to make those, making those free throws kept us ahead, I was happy with that and I'm sure Coach (Westhead) was too.”
