DUCKS RIDING THREE-GAME WINNING STREAK
After losing back-to-back games to No. 1 Duke and No. 9 Missouri, the Ducks have put together a three-game winning streak. UO posted double-digit wins over Portland State, Willamette and Jacksonville State.
During that stretch, UO has a scoring margin of +23.3 (242-172) and a rebounding margin of +8.8 (118-94). In those games, UO has shot 49.5 percent from the field, including 35.3 percent on 3-pointers.
Junior guard Garrett Sim found his shooting touch in those wins, averaging 13.0 points per game in shooting 53.6 percent on field goals (36.4 percent on 3-pointers). Prior to the winning streak, Sim had averaged 5.6 points per game and was shooting 30.2 percent from the field (27.3 percent on 3-pointers).
STROWBRIDGE MOVES INTO STARTING LINEUP
Senior guard Jay-R Strowbridge has started the last four games for the Ducks, scoring in double-figures in three of those four outings. The offseason transfer from Huntsville, Ala., ranks third on the squad in scoring (8.9 ppg) while ranking fifth in rebounds (3.1 rpg).
As a starter, Strowbridge's 3-point field goal shooting percentage has improved to 42.1 percent (8-of-19). He had been shooting just 16.7 percent from behind the arc (3-of-18) when coming off the bench in the first six games. His overall field goal percentage has improved from 27.7 percent as a reserve (13-of-47) to 39.0 percent as a starter (16-of-41).
SINGLER STEPS INTO KEY ROLE
Sophomore forward E.J. Singler leads the team in rebounding (6.7 rpg), blocks (1.1 bpg), field goal percentage (.579, 44-of-76) and 3-point field goal percentage (.538, 14-of-26). He also ranks second on the team in scoring (13.1 ppg).
Singler has reached double figures in scoring nine times in 10 games. The 6-6 swingman from Medford, Ore., had opened the season by scoring in double figures in each of the first seven games.
In the near upset of Missouri, Singler tallied a career-best 19 points to go with nine rebounds. Last week he posted an 18-point, 17-rebound (career high) effort in the blowout win over Willamette.
CATRON AVERAGING CAREER BESTS
Senior forward Joevan Catron has now played in 106 career games averaging career-bests for points per game (17.6 ppg) and field goal shooting percentage (.552, 58-of-105). He leads the team in scoring, field goals attempted (105) and field goals made (58).
Catron, who was awarded a medical hardship in the offseason, has scored in double-figures in nine of the 10 games in 2010-11. Of his five career 20-point games, four have come this season. He's led UO in scoring 10 times in his career, while recording a team-best in points seven of UO's 10 games.
Catron has scored 63.1 percent of his points after halftime, with 111 of his 176 total points coming during the final 20 minutes (and OT). In an overtime win over North Dakota State, he tallied 16 of his career-best 27 points in the second half, making all five of his field goal attempts in the second stanza. Catron also scored 18 of his 25 points in the second half of a home loss to San Jose State.

Garrett Sim scored 15 points, Joevan Catron poured in 13, Williams scored 13 off the bench while Strowbridge and Malcolm Armstead each tallied 10 to put every Oregon starter in double digit points.
Oregon shot 51.3 percent, including a 59.5 percent figure in the second half, while holding Willamette to 39 percent from the floor. UO drained 6-of-20 3-pointers while holding WU to 5-of-23 from beyond the arc. The Ducks dominated the glass, grabbing 49 rebounds to the Bearcats' 29. The Oregon offense dished out a season-high 23 assists and finished with 16 turnovers.
In the win over JSU, Catron led the UO offense with 20 points, while Singler and Sim also scored in double figures with 14 points and 10 points, respectively. Catron and Singler both finished with a team-high seven rebounds.
