EUGENE, Ore. -- The University of Oregon men's basketball team (4-2) will host No. 9/8 Missouri (5-0) and Portland State (3-1) this week at McArthur Court in Eugene. The Ducks-Tigers contest is slated for 8 p.m. (PT) on Thursday night, while Sunday's game with the Vikings is scheduled for 3 p.m.
Tickets are available for both games (Missouri: $19 reserved, $15 student section general admission; Portland State: $14 reserved, student section general admission not yet available).
Oregon is 0-4 all-time against Missouri, including a 106-69 road loss to the Tigers in Columbia, Mo., a year ago. The Ducks are 7-2 all-time against Portland State, with UO winning 116-68 over PSU in the last meeting on Nov. 12, 2006.
Oregon split a pair of games last week, a 23-point win over Texas Southern Tuesday before falling to top-ranked Duke Saturday in Portland.

LAST TIME OUT: NO. 1 DUKE 98, OREGON 71
Four Oregon players scored in double figures in the Nov. 27 neutral-site loss to top-ranked Duke at the Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Ore. Senior forward Joevan Catron led the Ducks with 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four steals and a block. Catron was joined in double-figures by sophomore forward E.J. Singler (14 points), junior forward Jeremy Jacob (12 points), and freshman guard Johnathan Loyd (10 points).
Oregon won the turnover battle, committing just 11 in the game while forcing the Blue Devils into 19. The Ducks tallied a season-high 15 steals, with Catron (4), Loyd (3) and junior guard Malcolm Armstead (3) all posting season-bests in that category. UO also had seven blocks, with junior forward Tyrone Nared recording three of those.
CATRON CONTINUES STRONG START
Senior forward Joevan Catron has now played in over 100 career games for UO, and the veteran is off to a great start averaging career-bests for points per game (18.8 ppg) and field goal shooting percentage (.569, 37-of-65). Catron, who was awarded a medical hardship in the offseason after missing all but four games a year ago, has scored in double-figures in five of the six games in 2010-11. Of his four career 20-point games, three have come this season. Catron has led UO in scoring eight times in his career, while recording a team-best in points five of the six games this year.
Catron has scored 65 percent of his points after halftime, with 73 of his 113 total points coming during the final 20 minutes (and OT). In an overtime win over North Dakota State, he tallied 16 of his career-best 27 points in the second half, making all five of his field goal attempts in the second stanza.
UO ADDS FOUR PLAYERS IN EARLY SIGNING PERIOD
Dana Altman announced the signing of four players to National Letters of Intent. Joining the Ducks' 2011-12 squad are guards Bruce Barron (Carbondale, Ill./Brehm Preparatory School), Jabari Brown (Oakland, Calif./Oakland HS) and Brett Kingma (Mill Creek, Wash./Jackson HS) along with center Austin Kuemper (Portland, Ore./Westview HS).
Bruce Barron: Plays prep basketball at Brehm Preparatory School in Carbondale, Ill. … led AAU basketball team (Illinois Titans) to a national title in 2009, averaging 18 points per game in the senior national tournament … chose Oregon over Oklahoma State, Marquette and Indiana … also played AAU basketball for Mac Irvin Fire.
Jabari Brown: Started junior season at Findlay Prep (Nev.) where he averaged 16 points per game before transferring mid-year to Oakland High School … averaged 23.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game at Oakland High the rest of his junior campaign ... led Oakland High to second round of the state playoffs … chose Oregon over Arizona State, Connecticut, Georgia Tech and Washington … played AAU ball for Drew Gooden Soldiers

DUCKS WITH 718 WINS AT HISTORIC MCARTHUR COURT
With the victory over Portland on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, the Oregon Ducks captured their 700th win in games played at McArthur Court in Eugene. Oregon now has 718 home wins at Mac Court, with the Ducks 4-1 in home games this season.
UO Athletics celebrated the final Pac-10 men's basketball season at Mac Court with commemorative ticket giveaways, a pair of jersey retirement ceremonies and honorary captains for what was originally scheduled to be the final nine games at the venue.

The Oregon men's basketball team will make the move from McArthur Court to Matthew Knight Arena this season. The new building can be listed by either its full name, or abbreviated to Matt Arena (like Mac Court is to McArthur Court). Key dates listed below.

UO ATHLETICS UNVEILS MATTHEW KNIGHT ARENA FLOOR
Oregon unveiled another key element for Matt Arena designed to set the facility apart from any other arena in the country. Installation of a unique arena floor is currently underway and features symbolic references to the Pacific Northwest, as well as the two individuals most responsible for the arena becoming a reality, Phil Knight and Pat Kilkenny. NEW WEBSITE AVAILABLE FOR MATTHEW KNIGHT ARENA
MatthewKnightArena.com is the new website that has been launched by UO Athletics which will serve as the primary source of information for upcoming athletics events, concerts, tickets and other information pertaining the school's sparkling new 12,500 seat venue, which is scheduled to host its first events in January 2011.
The arena is scheduled to make its grand opening on Thursday, Jan. 13, when the Oregon men's basketball team faces USC, with tipoff for that contest scheduled for 8 p.m. (PST). The Ducks' women's basketball team is slated to debut in their new home on Sunday, Jan. 23, when they host Civil War rival Oregon State at noon.
Highlighting the website will be the announcements of major events coming to Matt Arena, an events calendar, ticket sales information and links that will enable the purchase of tickets to all sporting events and shows. In the coming weeks there will be many exciting announcements posted to the website detailing the remarkable events and entertainment the building is bringing to Eugene.
The website will be adding new information as the building is closer to completion, including parking information, seating charts, arena news and more.
