DUCKS ALL-TIME AGAINST TOP-RANKED TEAMS
Oregon is facing a top-ranked opponent for just the 27th time in school history, and the third time in the last five seasons. UO is 3-23 in those games (with records dating back to the 1948-49 season).
All three of Oregon's wins came over a top-ranked UCLA program. The first came back on Feb. 21, 1970, at McArthur Court, a 78-65 triumph for UO. On Feb. 16, 1974, the Ducks defeated the Bruins 56-51 in Eugene. The third win over a No. 1 was a 68-66 home victory on Jan. 6, 2007, with former Oregon great Aaron Brooks hitting the game-winner with 13 seconds remaining.

LAST TIME OUT: OREGON 75, TEXAS SOUTHERN 52
A late first-half surge propelled Oregon to a dominant, 75-52, victory over Texas Southern at McArthur Court on Tuesday night. UO posted an 18-2 run over an eight-minute span that included the end of the first half and beginning of the second half (score was tied at 23-23 with 4:31 remaining in first before jumping out to a 41-25 advantage with 16:00 left in the second). The run extended to a 41-9 spurt, putting the Ducks up 30 at 62-32.
Junior forward Tyrone Nared led the Ducks with 13 points off the bench and sophomore forward E.J. Singler joined him in double figures with 10 points of his own. Nared also pulled down a game-high six rebounds. The Ducks shot a season-high 52.7 percent from the floor, including a blistering 60 percent (15-for-25) in the second half. UO held TSU to 39.5 percent and outrebounded the Tigers, 34-25. The Duck' defense forced 21 turnovers while their offense only had 13 miscues.
CATRON OFF TO STRONG START
Senior forward Joevan Catron recently played in his 100th career game for the Ducks, and the veteran is off to a great start averaging career-bests for points per game (19.0 ppg) and field goal shooting percentage (.615, 32-of-52). Catron, who was awarded a medical hardship in the offseason after missing all but four games a year ago, has scored in double-figures in four of the five games in 2010-11. Of his four career 20-point games, three have come this season.
Catron has scored 62 percent of his points after halftime, with 59 of his 95 total points coming during the final 20 minutes (and OT). In an overtime win over North Dakota State, he tallied 16 of his career-best 27 points in the second half, making all five of his field goal attempts in that final stanza.
