RENO, Nev. - The UO softball team (8-13) lost its Saturday morning rematch to Southern Utah, 10-5, in second day action in the Wolf Pack Classic at the University of Nevada's Hixson Park.

In its first of two tourney games Saturday, UO took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the second inning on Sari-Jane Jenkins' triple to deep left field. Two batters before in the inning, UO's first run came on Lindsey Chambers' single to left field.

UO also added a run in the third inning after Neena Bryant singled, stole second base, then scored on a throwing error by the shortstop on a grounder by Monique Fuiava. UO's final run in the game came in the fifth after Bryant doubled in Cortney Kivett who had opened the inning with a single and stolen base.

At the plate in the game, six Ducks combined for eight hits ? Jenkins (1-for-4, 2 RBI), Cortney Kivett (2-for-4, 1 run), Bryant (2-for-4, 1 run, 1 RBI), Fuiava (1-for-4), Ashley Kivett (1-for-2, 1 run) and Lindsey Chambers (1-for-3, 1 run).

Senior Melissa Rice made her third start of the season, and struck out two, walked one, gave up six hits, and one of her five runs allowed were earned.

Sophomore Brittany Rumfelt came on in the third inning with two outs, and runners on second and third, and struck out her first batter to end the inning. She got another out in the next inning before she was relieved by freshman Samantha Skillingstad who worked the final 3.2 innings, struck out two, walked two, and gave up two hits and neither of her two runs allowed were earned.
